The Keeper of Stories
"Perspective is everything. Whether you see the 6 or the 9, I am here to ensure the words we choose serve to heal, to nurture, and to bridge the world."
The Heart Behind the Pen
I am Honeymoon Naima Mohammed Aljabri a filmmaker, author, and storyteller dedicated to the art of the "soul-cure." My journey began in the vibrant classrooms of Houston, where I honed my craft with a degree in Radio, Television, and Film from Texas Southern University, a degree in Theater from San Jacinto, and an Associate’s in Filmmaking from Houston Community College. This academic foundation taught me how to see the world through a lens, but my heart taught me how to capture it on the page.
To me, writing is more than a task; it is a journey for the mind. Whether I am directing a scene or penning a chapter, I believe we are the keepers of this world, and our words are the water that nurtures our collective humanity.
The Portfolio: A Tapestry of Work
My work spans genres and generations, but every project is a "love letter" to the beauty of life and the richness of culture.
The Novels: Journeys of the Heart I write for the soul that seeks connection. My published novels Leila, Remembering Us, and Heartstrings explore the delicate dance of human emotion. Currently, I am pouring my heart into my fourth novel, Love in Transit, continuing my mission to explore how we move through love and life.
For the Young Explorers I believe in feeding the imaginations of our children. My series, Amani, follows a brave young girl exploring the wonders of Africa much like a cultural Dora the Explorer. Alongside Amani, I have authored Geography for Kids and various Coloring Books, designed to make the world feel both vast and reachable for the next generation.
Lifestyle & Culture: The Art of Care My creativity extends into the kitchen and the mirror.
The Kitchen: My cookbook, Not So Italian, brings a fresh, unique perspective to the table.
Self-Care: Your Hair Needs Jesus is my tribute to the ritual of self-love and hair care.
The Continent: Love Letter to Africa is my literary embrace of the land that inspires so much of my identity.
Let’s Create the "Cure" Together
Every story I tell is a chance to learn, to feel, and to experience life in ways unimagined. I invite you to step into my cozy corner of the world. Let’s breathe in, breathe out, and understand that together, we can use our words to nurture the soul.
Happy writing, my friends.
